Online order cancellations

For most items purchased online, you have the right to change your mind and cancel your order within 14 days of receiving your goods, without giving a reason.

To exercise your right to cancel, please email theromancechapteruk@gmail.com within this 14-day period. Once you have told us that you wish to cancel, you have a further 14 days to return the goods.

Returning an unwanted item

Please return items in the condition in which you received them. You may handle an item as you reasonably would in a shop to inspect it. If an item has been handled beyond what is necessary to establish its nature, characteristics and functioning, we may make an appropriate deduction from the refund if its value has been reduced.

Unless the item is faulty, damaged, incorrect or we have agreed otherwise, you are responsible for the cost of returning an unwanted item.

Please contact us before sending a return so we can provide the appropriate return instructions and address.

Refunds

Once your return has been received, or you have provided evidence that it has been sent back where applicable, your refund will be processed within 14 days.

Refunds will be made using the original payment method unless otherwise agreed. Where an entire online order is cancelled under your statutory cancellation rights, we will also refund the standard outbound delivery charge. If you selected a more expensive delivery service, we are only required to refund the cost of our standard delivery option.

Damaged, faulty or incorrect items

Please check your order when it arrives and contact us as soon as possible if an item is damaged, faulty, misdescribed or you have received the wrong item.

Please include your order number and, where helpful, photographs of the issue so we can resolve it as quickly as possible.

Nothing in this policy affects your statutory rights under UK consumer law.

Market purchases

The statutory 14-day change-of-mind cancellation right described above applies to eligible distance purchases, such as orders placed through our website. Purchases made in person at our market stalls do not automatically have the same change-of-mind cancellation right. Your statutory rights regarding faulty, damaged or misdescribed goods are unaffected.

This structure reflects the current UK distance-selling rules: online customers generally get 14 days after delivery to cancel, another 14 days to send goods back, and refunds must generally be made within the statutory timeframe. Standard outbound delivery is also refundable on a qualifying full cancellation, while enhanced delivery doesn't have to be refunded beyond the standard amount.
